partySize

Requires the new renderer UI

partySize only works with the new renderer UI. You need to enable the feature flag first. In Event Manager's select and createOrder modes, an exact size like partySize: 3 works without the feature flag.

Type: integer | object
Default:

{
prompt: false,
filter: false,
min: 1,
max: 8
}

An exact size

partySize: 3 fixes the party at 3 places. The ticket buyer only needs to click once to select 3 places, and previously selected places are deselected automatically.

The ticket buyer is not allowed to leave orphan seats, unless it's not possible to select seats in that row without leaving orphans. At that point, a warning is triggered if you activated the noOrphanSeats selection validator.

An exact size works for seats (both row and table seats) and general admission areas. It has no effect when selecting booths or entirely selectable tables.

The object form

Supported parameters are:

  • prompt - Default: false. If true, the ticket buyer is asked how many places they need before they can use the map.
  • filter - Default: false. If true, a party size filter will be visible.
  • min - Default: 1.
  • max - Default: 8.

The prompt

With prompt: true, the chart renders and then immediately asks "Choose your party size" in a modal dialog, before the buyer can interact with the map.

If min and max are equal the dialog is skipped, the party size is applied straight away, and no party size filter is shown.

The filter

With filter: true, a party size filter appears next to the other filters. It lets the buyer set their party size, change it, or clear it again — changing or clearing the party size clears the current selection.

With prompt: true the filter is always shown (unless min equals max), and the party size can't be cleared.
